How Do I Book a Consultation?
At the moment, consultations are carried out once a week at Mari Mina Pharmacy, Cahir, Co. Tipperary. Video consultations are also available. Please use or enquiry form at the bottom of the page or feel free to call us or email us at email@example.com to find out more and book an appointment.
What’s Involved in the Consultations?
Nutritional therapy focuses on the overall nutrient value of an individual’s diet to ensure optimal well-being and sustained health. The therapy also includes lifestyle modifications which are necessary for ultimate well-being.
In the first consultation, we provide a very comprehensive questionnaire to go through the body systems (digestive, cardiovascular, skin, etc), medical history, eating habits, lifestyle, etc. A nutrition plan and lifestyle modification programme will be agreed with you. A follow-up appointment is recommended to review the progress and make adjustments if necessary. You will leave with a personalised nutrition plan that includes the supplements programme and the lifestyle modifications to help you achieve your goals.
The ultimate goal is to educate people on all the benefits of dietary and lifestyle intervention, leaving them empowered to take charge of their own health.
Why is it better than the alternatives?
Carmen´s approach is evidence-based using the Functional Medicine principles to treat digestive problems, food sensitivities (gluten and casein), chronic illnesses, fatigue, allergies and sports nutrition.
Who should book a consultation?
Any person who would like to simply improve their overall diet, have more energy, feel more in control, manage stress better or even address more chronic health conditions.
Anybody who suffers from digestive issues, wants to improve his/her overall sports performance, struggle to lose weight or feel continuously tired, haemochromatosis, etc.
What can the client expect to get from the consultation?
Nutrition therapy is intended to compliment medicine, therefore it will always support your medical practitioner’s diagnosis and treatment plan. Dietary changes may be made under the supervision of a medical doctor.
From the consultation you will get:
- Personalised Nutrition plan
- Supplements programme
- Lifestyle modification programme
How long does the consultation last?
First consultation lasts 90 minutes. A follow-up consultation lasts 60 minutes.
What do I need to bring to the consultation?
If you have recent blood tests, then it would be very useful to have them.
